Becoming A Leader For Your Agency

You are busting your butt trying to find the right prospects for your agency. You are pulling out every recruiting trick you can think of in pulling together a stellar team that will work productively. As you sit back in your office, listening to agents talk with clients and make phone calls while you lift your coffee mug to toast your success, you breath a sigh of relief. The hard part of the job is over. Time to relax.

Not so fast. You are forgetting the most important aspect of your job title. You are a manager. That means you must manage your agents to become an effective real estate team. You have to be the leader needed in this dynamic work environment. Check out this advice from Craig Proctor Real Estate Coaching to help you become a leader.
Follow Through With Your Promises: You are finished with the recruiting stage of your job. Now is the time when you must strive to retain them. Keeping the promises that convinced the agents to move to your company is the first step to becoming a leader. You are showing the agents that you were sincere in your words and truly have their future careers in mind.
Communicate With Your Team: Effective communication with members of your agency allows you to delegate work as well as listen to them when there are any issues so that situations can be addressed. A leader has to bring together agents and share ideas to make a productive work environment.
Detail Your Expectations: You obviously don’t expect an agent to just show up for work and play Facebook games all day. You have to establish clear expectations that you want the agent to accomplish whether it is gaining a certain number of referrals or leads a day, or following-up with potential buyers concerning the purchase of a home. By letting agents know your expectations, you are showing how effective a leader you can be.        (source:realestatecoachingblog.com)
